Firstech was established on the back of significant demand to enhance financing opportunities, providing solutions and funding at competitive market rates for African businesses. This demand was due to the fact that Africa is suffering from a dearth of long-term financing, mainly derived from the limited depth of regional financial markets, as well as perceptions of risk around long-term investments.

However, with the increasing trend in African economic growth and demand for our financial solutions, we are now experiencing an increase in demand for coverage in other jurisdictions.

Our location within Europe provides us with a vantage point in that we can easily link and tap into the broad EU funding markets to source foreign direct investment into developing economies.
